Moving Smart USA Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Moving Smart USA (“Moving Smart USA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information through movingsmartusa.com and its related services.
1. Information We Collect
Information from customers and visitors
We may collect information you provide through our moving questionnaire, contact forms, newsletter signup, privacy requests, and communications with us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, moving origin and destination, requested services, timeframe, notes, consent choice, and messages.
Information from professional partners
We may collect account and public-profile information such as name, title, company, profession, license information, service cities, biography, phone number, email address, website, Google Business link, profile photograph, team-member information, and membership selection.
Payment information
Paid memberships are processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. Moving Smart USA does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers. Payment providers may provide us transaction, subscription, customer, and payment-status information.
Technical information
Our hosting platform and website may automatically process IP address, browser and device information, page activity, referring pages, timestamps, cookies, local browser storage, login-session information, and security logs. Public professional-profile views and certain contact-button actions may be counted for statistics.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to operate and secure the website; process questionnaires and contact requests; provide customer recommendations; create and display professional profiles; administer memberships and billing status; send requested, transactional, matching, service, and marketing communications; maintain CRM and activity features for eligible paid partners; prevent abuse; respond to privacy requests; comply with law; and improve our services.
3. Customer Consent and Professional Matching
If a customer does not check the information-sharing box, Moving Smart USA does not send that customer’s name, email address, phone number, notes, timeframe, or questionnaire answers to professionals. The customer may still receive information about eligible paid professionals and may choose whether to contact them.
If a customer affirmatively checks the information-sharing box, the customer’s submitted contact information and relevant questionnaire details may be shared only with eligible paid Pro or Team professionals matched to the request. Those professionals may contact the customer. Consent is voluntary and does not require the customer to hire anyone.
Free Starter professionals are not shown to customers through questionnaire matching and do not receive customer personal information, even when the customer has consented to sharing. A Starter professional serving the relevant area may receive a general, non-identifying notice that someone is seeking a category of service in that city. That notice does not include the customer’s identity, contact details, notes, timeframe, consent response, or questionnaire answers.
4. When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- To eligible paid professionals when a customer gives affirmative consent as described above.
- To service providers that support hosting, email, security, payment processing, data storage, customer support, and website operations, subject to their applicable terms.
- When a customer directly contacts a professional through the professional’s public profile.
- To comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate fraud or misuse; or enforce our agreements.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.
Professional profile information submitted for public display is public and may be viewed by website visitors.
5. Sale of Personal Information
Moving Smart USA does not sell customer personal information for monetary consideration. We do not provide customer contact information to professionals unless the customer affirmatively consents as explained in this Policy. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any notices and choices required by law.
6. Cookies and Browser Storage
We use cookies and local browser storage when necessary for login sessions, security, saved portal information, preferences, and website operation. Third-party services may use their own technologies under their privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking essential cookies may prevent account or portal features from working.
7. Email and Communications
We may send transactional messages concerning accounts, profiles, password resets, matching activity, consented leads, billing, security, and service changes. If you subscribe to promotional email, you may unsubscribe using the link or instructions in the message or by contacting us. Transactional messages necessary to operate an account may continue.
8. Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, withdraw future information-sharing consent, or opt out of promotional email by contacting info@movingsmartusa.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when permitted or required by law.
Residents of certain states may have additional rights, which may include rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain uses of personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a legal right. California and Nevada residents may submit applicable privacy or sale opt-out requests through the email address above. We do not currently sell personal information for monetary consideration. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification.
10. Children
The website is intended for adults arranging moving-related services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may link to Stripe, Google, professional websites, and other third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Moving Smart USA is not responsible for third-party privacy or security practices.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or email when appropriate.
